Speaker: Caio Pimentel Seguin (ARC Research Fellow at University of Melbourne)
Caio is an ARC Research Fellow at the Department of Psychiatric of the University of Melbourne, where he leads the Network Neuroscience Group. Caio’s research aims to understand the structure and function of brain networks using approaches from computer science, physics and engineering. In particular, Caio is interested in how neural elements—from single neurons to whole brain regions—communicate via the intricate wiring of the connectome, and in characterising how this communication breaks down in brain disorders.
