Speaker: Dr. Xiaobo Liu (Postdoctoral Research Associate, School of Physics, University of Sydney)

Dr. Xiaobo Liu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sydney. He received his PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University, where his doctoral research focused on the spatiotemporal organization of large-scale human cortical dynamics using magnetoencephalography. His work develops computational approaches to characterize cortical propagation, traveling waves, hierarchical brain organization, and frequency-dependent neural dynamics, with applications to ageing, cognition, and brain disorders. His broader research interests include MEG/EEG analysis, neuroimaging, network neuroscience, and computational modelling.
